Attic Noise

Last Tuesday (April 29th) three young Bulgarian bands gathered together in rock bar Fans in Sofia to put us in a very good mood and to offer us a very special evening, filled with good music.

First on stage came Nacbuktu, eager to get to know the music fans in Sofia, since this was their first concert here. They presented us a few covers of Erykah Badu and Jill Scott and also their first two songs - "Da popitam" (in English: Let me ask) and "New ways", that made us all forget about the hard day at work and the pouring rain outside.

Next were Slap The Bunny who also made their first step as a band on our scene this evening. With their covers of Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains they should have pleased all the Seattle grunge scene's fans in the room. What would their future own music sound like? We hope we will find out the answer very soon.

The headliners of the evening were Attic Noise who showed again why they are so beloved by their fans and why they are becoming more and more popular since their first appearance in 2011. The band played only a few covers - "Wicked Game", "Wake Me Up When September Ends", "Take A Look Around", "Killing In The Name Of" - and mostly their own songs. Some of them were from their first EP, like the emblematic for the band "The L.A.W." and "Nashta Pesen" (Our song). You can download the whole EP here.

Unfortunately, the lack of time prevented us from listening to some of our favorite songs which always make us wait for the next concert, in order to hear them again live. But this time we will have to be patient for a little longer since this concert was the farewell party for Attic Noise's bass player who is already packing for his summer trip to the USA. So, we are already waiting for him to come back and for the band to "wake us up" again - as promised "when September ends".
